Registration is easy. Be prepared to provide the following information:

Yes, online registration allows you to register on behalf of others. Each registration requires a unique email address, which is used to generate login credentials and for check-in at the conference.

Yes, there is a guest pass available for $250 for Synergy San Francisco and €125 for Synergy Barcelona. The pass allows your guest to participate in the Synergy Welcome Reception and the Synergy Party. Access to conference sessions and conference meals is limited to registered attendees with a full conference or day pass. Guest passes are nonrefundable and are restricted to individuals 21 years of age or older.

No. There is no registration deadline. You can even register on site if you prefer to wait until the conference starts. However, registrations received early qualify for discounts off the regular registration fee.

Cancellations prior to September 14, 2012 are eligible for a 100 percent refund. Starting September 14, 2012 conference fees are nonrefundable, and there are no exceptions. For San Francisco, Registration Desk hours are:

• Tuesday, May 8: 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

You have the option to pay by credit card (American Express, Visa and MasterCard) or you can pay by wire transfer or check. Just select your payment option when prompted in the registration process and you will be billed accordingly.

An email confirmation will be sent to you upon completion of your registration. If you have not received this within 12 hours, please alert Synergy Headquarters.

As a Synergy alumnus, you are entitled to many special benefits at the conference. They include:

Yes, for Synergy San Francisco you can purchase a one-day pass for use either on Wednesday May 9 or Thursday May 10 for $695. The pass provides access to activities for that day such as keynotes, breakouts and learning labs. Note it does not include the Synergy Party.

For Barcelona, the one-day pass can be purchased for €495 and includes the same benefits listed above. You can buy the pass for use either on Wednesday October 17 or Thursday October 18.

Yes, for Synergy San Francisco you can purchase a Solutions Expo pass for use either on Wednesday May 9 or Thursday May 10 for $295. The pass provides access to Expo Hall and keynote only.

For Barcelona, the Solutions Expo pass can be purchased for €345 and includes the same benefits listed above. You can buy the pass for use either on Wednesday October 17 or Thursday October 18.

There are a few countries that require a Visa for entry. We recommend checking in advance with your country's local U.S. consulate for the Synergy San Francisco event, and your country’s local Spain consulate for Synergy Barcelona. Typically visa requirement information can be found on consulate web sites.

Citrix reserves the right to deny registration to any individual or entity for any reason, at the company’s sole discretion, including for past or present failure to meet Citrix standards of conduct (including, but not limited to, engaging in violent, illegal, threatening or discriminatory conduct).

Synergy San Francisco will present a wide array of technical and business breakout sessions divided into three areas:

• Cloud infrastructure: These sessions will explore the newest cloud infrastructure and management solutions and technologies for enterprises and service providers. Key areas of focus will include automation, orchestration, networking, and access and service management for compute and application services.
• Desktop virtualization: Sessions in this track will examine the latest trends and technologies in desktop virtualization and will cover all aspects of virtual desktop administration and delivery – apps, data, devices, mobility, security and management – illustrated with case studies, best practices and rich technical details.
• Networking: This track will address the latest innovations in cloud networking. Key technology areas include application delivery, optimization, load balancing, disaster recovery and site recovery, security, service delivery and multi-tenancy in private and public clouds.

For Synergy San Francisco, there are two types of labs offered:

1. Instructor-led Learning Labs, built on a hosted platform and taught by Citrix technical experts, the labs are offered on two levels:

• Deep Dive classes – These three-hour sessions provide an in-depth learning experience focusing on specific features of the latest Citrix product releases. They cover key technical aspects of design, implementation and integration of Citrix technologies.
• Workshop classes – These sessions share elements of the Deep Dive classes but are presented in a workshop style for expanded discussion and interaction.

2. Self-paced Learning Labs - These popular, on-demand labs covering a variety of topics at multiple levels from introductory to advanced. They are primarily designed for administrators and architects responsible for managing or designing a Citrix environment. We’ll have topics that span desktop virtualization, cloud infrastructure, networking and much more.

Information on labs for Synergy Barcelona will be provided in June.

Breakout session attendance is on a first-come, first-seated basis. Instructor Led Learning Labs require advance registration due to the tremendous popularity of these classes. Once registered, we encourage you to use the My Synergy Event Account agenda building tool to plan your Synergy session experience and pre-register for labs to secure your seat. Self-paced are on-demand, and are available based on your schedule, just walk in and go.

The ability to organize your agenda for Synergy San Francisco is available now, and available in July for Barcelona.

Please pick up your badge at the Synergy Registration Desk during open registration hours. For San Francisco, the main desk will be located in Moscone West Convention Center on the first floor and a second desk will be located in the Hilton Union Square on the first floor near Golden Gate 1. For Barcelona, the desk will be located on the first floor of the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB).

For security purposes, be prepared to show government issued photo identification in order to pick up your badge.

Yes, please wear your conference badge to all functions, sessions and meetings so that you can be readily identified as an attendee of the Synergy conference. Every precaution possible is being taken to ensure a safe and secure working environment at Synergy.

For San Francisco, lunch, and morning and afternoon refreshments will be provided on each full day of the conference. Attendees are invited to the Welcome Reception on Tuesday, May 8 where heavy hors d’ouevres will be served and will be designed around providing a dinner experience. Dinner will be provided at the Synergy Party on Thursday, May 10.

If you have any special dietary requests, please be sure to inform us during the registration process.

For San Francisco, this gala event, featuring entertainment, music, food and beverages, will take place on Thursday, May 10.

The attire for Synergy is business casual (slacks, polo shirts, etc.) for the entire conference. Please keep in mind the convention center and hotels are fully air conditioned and may be cool at times. A light jacket or sweater for indoor wear and a raincoat and umbrella for outside are recommended.

Yes, the presentations will be posted and available one week following Synergy and located in attendees My Synergy Event Accounts.

The official language of the conference is English and all general sessions will be presented in English. Translation services will not be provided.

An Internet Access Center will be available. However due to limited terminals we encourage you to bring your personal device (laptop, iPad, etc.). WIFI will be available throughout the conference center; information on how to access wireless will be provided onsite.

Synergy has arranged special discounted rates at select conference hotels and we encourage you to take advantage of those discounts. When you register online for Synergy, you will have an opportunity to request your hotel, check-in and check-out dates, and provide your credit card information. A hotel reservation will be made for you and guaranteed with your credit card. Note, hotel rooms are based on availability.

Yes, a credit card will be needed to confirm your reservation at a designated Synergy hotel. The hotel will charge a deposit of one night's room and tax to guarantee your reservation.

Standard Hotel check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is Noon, but these times may vary depending on the hotel you choose.

To take advantage of special discounted room rates, you must be registered for the conference and book your hotel through the registration site.

No, transportation is not provided from the airport to the hotel. Please check the Transportation section of the Synergy web site to find information on different options, including public transportation.
